Intl professionals join climate change training in China

An international training, focusing on enhancing capabilities in climate change adaptation and marine environmental protection, opened on Monday at Ocean University of China.

The event includes participants from Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Fiji, Cuba, Gabon, Maldives, South Africa, Nauru, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tonga, Indonesia and Jordan.

It is designed to strengthen international cooperation and knowledge exchange in responding to climate challenges and protecting marine ecosystems. It features 18 themed courses, combining field studies, cultural activities and interactive sessions to provide comprehensive training.

The training is hosted by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and co-organized by the Center for Ocean Carbon Neutrality of OUC and the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Shandong University.
