19 killed in Nepali Buddha flight crash

KATHMANDU - Nepali police said all the 19 passengers and crew members on the Buddha Air plane which crashed Sunday morning died.

One Buddha Air's twin otter plane crashed in Lamatar Kotdanda village of Lalitpur while returning from mountain flight Sunday morning.

There are 16 India and European passengers with 3 Nepalese crew members on board, an employee of Buddha Air who didn't want his name unveiled told Xinhua earlier.

Rescue found one passenger alive and rushed to hospital but he later passed away while undergoing treatment.

An soldier participated in the rescue told Xinhua that bad weather condition is responsible for the crash and the army helicopter for rescue couldn't land because of heavy fog at the site and had to return.
