The Chinese women’s volleyball team won a hard battle over Russia at the 2004 Athens Games. We saw the girls from the Chinese team in tears of happiness at the victory. But the Russian team, which has won two consecutive silver medals, was seen with only one word: grief. In particular, the 2.02-meter-tall Ekaterina Gamova’s longing for the gold medal was hardly concealed with her sad tears.
