China State Construction Engineering Corp said on Thursday it had set up a joint venture company with Xinjiang Construction to invest in real estate projects in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Reuters reported.

The joint venture will have an invested amount of not more than 1.52 billion yuan ($235.3 million), China State Construction said in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.?

The firm will focus on real estate development, construction and the installment of heavy equipment, Reuters reported.?
