Nearly 6,000 cherry trees of more than 60 varieties are coming into bloom along the Beixiao River in Chaoyang district, Beijing, creating a 4.2-kilometer pink corridor and marking the debut of the capital's "Cherry Blossom River".

Located near the northeastern fifth ring road, the Beixiao River corridor spans the waterway, its banks and three adjoining parks, forming a continuous riverside viewing route.

Blooming will unfold in phases, with early varieties peaking from late March to early April, followed by late-blooming trees in mid-April, extending the viewing season.

From April 3 to 12, visitors will be able to view the blossoms from the water, with rowboats, motorboats and open-top boats put into operation along the river.

To improve access, a free shuttle bus decorated with cherry blossom motifs will connect nearby parks and commercial areas, linking the floral corridor with surrounding urban spaces.
