Beijing Daxing International Airport will launch its 2026 summer-autumn flight schedule on Sunday, with average daily scheduled flights set to exceed 1,000 for the first time as the airport expands both domestic and international connectivity, according to the airport.

The new season will run through Oct 24, covering 210 days. During this period, Daxing is expected to handle about 1,012 scheduled flights a day, up 3.79 percent year-on-year, the airport said.

A total of 44 airlines are expected to operate at the airport in the new season, linking Daxing with 133 domestic passenger destinations and 44 international and regional destinations.

The increase comes as China's civil aviation sector enters its nationwide summer-autumn schedule. China's aviation system adjusts flight plans twice a year, with the seasonal reshuffle designed to better match demand, weather conditions and international scheduling practices. The country's previous winter-spring schedule ran from Oct 26, 2025, to Saturday.

On domestic routes, Daxing plans to add new destinations including Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, Hami and Turpan in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, while increasing flights to nearly 40 cities such as Guangzhou, Xiamen, Chengdu, Guiyang, Changchun and Hulun Buir.

International and regional services will connect the airport with popular destinations including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Seoul, London, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Moscow, Hong Kong and Macao. China Southern plans to open a new Daxing-Helsinki route and increase services to Dushanbe and Istanbul. China Eastern plans to launch a Daxing-Wuhan-Sydney route, while Air China plans new routes from Daxing to Frankfurt and Milan. Xiamen Airlines will restore its Daxing-Doha service. Royal Air Maroc and S7 Airlines are also set to increase frequencies on their Daxing routes, and Uzbekistan Airways will begin operations at the airport with planned flights to Tashkent.

The latest expansion underscores Daxing's growing role as a major Beijing aviation hub as airlines refine their networks for the summer travel season and rising outbound demand.
