Zong Qiang, NPC deputy, head of the Zong Qiang team of China Telecom's Fuzhou Branch

Digital empowerment initiatives in smart public service scenarios should be incorporated into the evaluation framework for the Digital China development indicators and into the assessment system for basic public service capacity. Greater efforts are needed to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals by supporting universities and vocational institutions in establishing relevant majors and training programs. Telecommunications companies and research institutes should also be encouraged to form technical service teams dedicated to smart public service applications, providing guidance and training at the grassroots level to strengthen the digital service capabilities of frontline personnel.

Yang Yuni, CPPCC National Committee member, founder of Yuni culture and art heritage center in Honghe, Yunnan province

I will continue to focus on the digitalization of intangible cultural heritage this year. We should support a group of young inheritors to become "new farmers of intangible cultural heritage". They cannot only safeguard these traditions, but also provide better connections and services for villagers. As 2026 marks the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, through my efforts and those of many others, we can better preserve and pass on our national culture. We should further explore and make rational use of its multiple values — economic, tourism, and cultural.

Yu Jing, CPPCC National Committee member, secretary of the general Party branch of Dawan village in Huashi township, Jinzhai county, Anhui province

We need to maintain close and continuous communication with the people, helping them build confidence and clarify their development paths. I hope the countryside can offer the quality of life found in cities while preserving its rural charm — rich in everyday warmth and vitality, yet also inspiring a sense of poetry and aspiration. Common prosperity means ensuring that young people have opportunities to work and earn a decent living, that the elderly are well cared for, and that children have access to proper upbringing and education.

Yang Denghui, NPC deputy, faculty member of Guangdong Machinery Technician College

The recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan propose elevating master craftsmen and highly skilled professionals to the status of national strategic talent. This signifies that the contributions of skilled workers are being recognized at the highest strategic level. Bottlenecks in career advancement should be further addressed to expand their development pathways. Skilled professionals should be given greater opportunities to enter the ranks of recognized experts and take on management roles, ensuring they receive income and social recognition commensurate with their contributions.
