New year's taste that lingers
As the event drew to a close, the "Taste of China Banquet" was served. Conversation flowed as dishes were shared, bringing the day's cultural roaming to a gentle, satisfying close.
Software engineer Athmane, a frequent visitor to the center, described the event as "rich, engaging and worth exploring", praising in particular its technical execution and the creative juxtaposition of classical European architecture with modern projection technology to present the ancient art of the Yungang Grottoes.
A French couple, Aiva and Jean-Fran?ois, said they had long sought an event where they could "truly celebrate Chinese New Year", noting that many activities are only for viewing, whereas here they could participate, learn and create. They were especially impressed by the courtyard light show and the expressive range of traditional Chinese instruments, discovering for the first time how vivid and evocative Chinese music can be.
From morning light to evening glow, the China Cultural Center in Paris offered not just a festival, but a journey, an immersive encounter where tradition and modernity, China and France, met in shared celebration.
