The dance drama Ling Yi was staged on Sunday in Beijing, following its highly successful debut in Shanghai just over a month ago. The production, which had a sold-out eight-show run in Shanghai, then toured Suzhou and Nanjing in Jiangsu province, and Guangzhou in Guangdong province before arriving in Beijing.
The title Ling Yi refers to a garment made of feathers, also known as the "immortal's robe" in Chinese mythology. The term has roots in ancient tales and evokes a sense of fantasy.
