The trade volume between China and five Central Asian countries exceeded $100 billion last year, setting a record high and demonstrating the robust momentum of their cooperation, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
The trade structure has improved and more high quality products from Central Asia entered the Chinese market, according to the ministry's spokesman Guo Jiakun.
Amid sluggish global economic growth and challenges facing the international trading system, the economic and trade cooperation between China and Central Asia has withstood external headwinds, he said.
China stands ready to work with Central Asian countries to promote innovation-driven, high-quality and results-oriented cooperation across various fields, he added.
