China Mining Conference and Exhibition set for September
The 28th China Mining Conference and Exhibition is expected to take place in Tianjin from Sept 10 to 12, providing an international platform for efficient communication and cooperative exchanges among industry insiders, according to the China Mining Association.
Speaking at a news conference in Beijing on Tuesday, Che Changbo, secretary-general of the association, said the 2026 conference, based on the overall industry development landscape, will optimize the agenda of major events.
Che said the focus will be on promoting the development of brand activities toward normalization and high-quality standards. These include a large market for mining rights transfer and a roundtable meeting for dialogue with global leading enterprises.
The conference will focus on key industry issues and technological advancements, with a particular emphasis on organizing specialized forums and promotional activities related to mining equipment. Additionally, there will be discussions on crucial topics, such as the restructuring of industrial and supply chains centered on strategic mineral resources.
Che also proposed expanding the exhibition area for mining engineering equipment, providing more extensive outdoor display space for heavy machinery, and creating a more comprehensive platform to showcase advanced mining equipment from both domestic and international sources.
To further enhance the internationalization level of China's mining industry, the conference will prioritize expanding cooperation with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative and those rich in mineral resources, Chen said.
He added that the conference will invite mining ministers from resource-rich countries, industry leaders, top-tier enterprises, and procurement delegations. Additionally, the conference will interact with top international mining events such as Africa's Mining Indaba, and Saudi Arabia's Future Minerals Forum.
