"This historical period is not only a page of shared national memory but also a vivid testament to the enduring blood ties and cultural connections across the Strait," said Lo Chih-ying, one of the youth speakers at the event from Taiwan.

Although Taiwan's recovery took place eight decades ago, the four young representatives from Taiwan in their 20s conducted in-depth studies on the history and shared their reflections at the historical event. They also served as narrators in Stories Across the Strait, a 12-episode documentary produced by China Daily that explored the historical origins of the Taiwan question.
