Enhance new technologies to boost China's strengths in manufacturing and automobile: Chery chairman

Yin Tongyue, chairman of Anhui province-based Chery Automobile, believes that enhancing new technologies and building the core competitive advantage of independent brands are crucial for Chinese automobiles to win the second half of the smart network competition and advance to be world-class.

He will make a number of suggestions on topics such as reciprocal trade policies on tariffs and overseas financial support.

He is confident that China will see the emergence of world-class automotive companies with annual sales of 10 million units and global first-class brands with international competitiveness, thus moving faster to boost China's strengths in manufacturing and automobile.
