A Little Red Flower

Yi Yangqianxi, the pop star whose silver screen debut in the 2019 drama, Better Days, won him immense popularity and critical acclaim, is returning with his second film, A Little Red Flower, and promises equally extraordinary acting skills.

In the new film, Yi plays Wei Yihang, a young man battling cancer who claims to be able to see the future and meets another cancer patient, Ma Xiaoyuan (played by Liu Haocun) who believes in the existence of a parallel universe. The duo then embarks on a journey searching for the meaning of life.

It's the second installment of director Han Yan's life trilogy, with the first being the 2015 comedy, Go Away Mr. Tumor, which tells of a cancer patient's courageous, positive battle.
