ROK, IAEA to hold talks over DPRK, safeguards
The Republic of Korea and the International Atomic Energy Agency will hold their regular high-level policy consultative meeting in Seoul next week to discuss the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's nuclear program and bilateral nuclear safeguard cooperation.
Seoul's Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs Kang Jeong-sik and Massimo Aparo, the head of the IAEA department of safeguards, will lead the seventh round of the meeting on Nov 26.
The ROK and the UN nuclear watchdog have held the high-level talks since 2013 as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral strategic communication.
