TOKYO - The world's oldest person, a Japanese woman, has died at the age of 114, Guinness World Records said.

Kama Chinen from Japan died on May 2, aged 114 years and 357 days, Guiness World Records said on its website.

The world's oldest person is now Eugenie Blanchard, a woman born on February 16, 1896 on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, according to the Gerontology Research Group, which maintains a registry of the oldest people.
