The trip is aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, according to acting government's spokesman Panithan Wattanayakorn.

Abhisit will meet with UK Foreign Minister Lord Malloch-Brown and be given an audience with Prince Andrew, Duke of York.

Also, Abhisit's visit to London is preparation ahead of the G-20 Summit on Financial and Market and the World Economy, scheduled on April 2 in London, since the Thai Premier as the chairman of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations is invited to attend the G-20 Summit.

Meanwhile, the Oxford-graduated Thai Primier will speak at Oxford University on Saturday to express his ideas for developing democracy and reforming the Thai politics.
