Gigi D'Alessio was born in Naples on Feb 24, 1967. His father introduced him into the world of music thanks to the accordion that Gigi received for his birthday.

Gigi's passion for the music grew up throw the years until when he decided to subscribe himself to the Music Conservatory in Naples. He's 23 years old when he started directing the Scarlatti Orchestra and after this amazing experience, he became officially the pianist of one of the most important neapolitan singers: Mario Merola.

In 1992 was published Gigi's first album Lasciatemi cantare and in 1995 he realized his dream singing in front of 20,000 people at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples.

After six albums Gigi approached to the BMG record company and in 1999 he performed at the N.I.A.F., singing for Mr President Bill Clinton.

In 2012 Gigi celebrated 20 years of career with the new album Chiaro and his new project Primera Fila, the first Spanish album edited in South America.

Other album and another world tour until year 2014: Gigi is the second Italian singer that became a legend entering in the World Billboard Music Chart. Only Modugno with Volare had the same success.

The artist doesn't know any break and another success is near: last year, on Dec 31, he celebrated the New Year's Eve for his first time in Plebiscito Square in Naples, live also on channel 5. Now he's planning to travel with his Malaterra's tour all around the world.
