On Ghost Festival (15th day of lunar July), an accident caused a three-day property dispute among Niu Tou (Bull’s head), Ma Mian (Horse’s face) and the magistrate. Niu and Ma fought with each other until they were black and blue, while the magistrate secretly plotted against them and emerged victorious.
