Air pollution blamed for nose ulcer

Good air quality is closely linked to many things. We blame air pollution for our coughs and respiratory system illnesses, which only seems fair. However, one South Korean plastic surgeon's excuse may seem a bit far-fetched.

A 27-year-old woman in Wuhan developed a nose ulcer after having plastic surgery on her nose in South Korea, reported Chutian Golden Newspaper on Tuesday. She spent more than 100,000 yuan ($16,110) on the operation, but one week after returning to China, her nose began to swell.

She telephoned the doctors in South Korea, who said the nose ulcer was due to air pollution in her city.

In our final story, in an effort to increase civic-minded behavior, Shenzhen fines people for peeing outside toilets.
