Official: He has illness!

A video has gone viral online as it exposes a civil servant eating sunflower seeds at work while citizens stand in a long queue at the governmental business hall in Hebi, Central China's Henan province.

In response to netizen's dissatisfaction, Qin Xinwei, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Hebi city, said the staff member, surnamed Hao, has an illness which requires him to eat constantly, otherwise he will faint.

According to the regulation, staff should not eat at work.

A mircoblogger who uses the name Yixiangtaosile, said, "If the official responsible admits their problem, will they make a fool of themselves in front of all Chinese people?"
