Good Weibo skills help college students skip exam

A Journalism lecturer in Sichuan International Studies University offered to exempt students from their final exam if they could demonstrate excellent Weibo skills, reported Chongqing Evening News on Friday.

The lecturer said students who win over 1,000 followers on Weibo, China's biggest social networking site, with at least ten of those followers having more than 500 followers, could skip the final exam. Students would also have to fulfill requirements regarding blog hits, forwards, reposts and comments.

Students applying to skip the exam have to have perfect attendance records and complete every assignment. According to the lecturer, the course is all about blogs and Weibo and this is a great way to put theory into practice.

His students said these requirements may look easy but only people who did fully understand the course could meet the requirements.
