During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, both average annual growth rates of automobile production and sales in Beijing exceeded 20 percent. The automobile industry has become one of the four leading industries with the fastest development in the area after 10 years of development.
It has now formed an industrial pattern that focuses on both traditional high-end brand cars and new energy electric vehicles. It has a growth rate of over 25 percent in the past two years and accounts for one-fourth of the automobile industry in Beijing.
