An international shopping festival will be held on Sept 29 in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, featuring trade cooperation between Guangzhou and its sister cities of Oakland and Los Angeles.

Under the framework of an economic alliance between Guangzhou, Oakland of New Zealand and Los Angeles of the United States, trade representatives from the three cities will display their top brands and commodities during the festival, which will last for a month.

Some cultural projects from the three cities will be displayed during the festival, which will be held in Tianhe, a booming business and comercial district in Guangzhou.

Local food from Guangzhou, Australia and New Zealand will also be promoted during the event, according to the organizers.
