Theme of the emblem: Gathering, blossoming and prosperity The design of the emblem is inspired by the concept of “10+1.”

Gathering: A grand gathering of friends from China and the 10 ASEAN countries in Nanning

Blossom: The Chinese hibiscus, in full blossom, symbolizes that the CAEXPO is a grand event open to the whole world and thus enjoys ample room for further development.

Prosperity: The 11 petal-like designs are filled with glory and dreams, a testimony that the reciprocal cooperation between China and ASEAN is hugely promising.

Shape and color The petal-shaped design is derived from the petals of the Chinese hibiscus, the city flower of Nanning, and also the shape of the Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Center, the CAEXPO main venue.

The 11 colorful petals represent scenic China and the 10 ASEAN countries.

Blue is the main color of the design, symbolizing that most of the 11 countries have coastlines.
