Agilent builds new lab in Chengdu

Agilent Technologies, the world's largest measurement equipment provider, announced the opening of a new open lab on Nov 28 in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.
The lab is the fourth electronic measurement lab Agilent has established in China after three others in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. The lab aims to provide timely and targeted service for clients in western China.
Agilent's open lab is the first complimentary laboratory opened to the industry. Clients can apply to use the lab for free through online registration, e-mail, telephone and fax.
Agilent established a joint venture between its test and measurement division and the Chengdu-based Qianfeng Electronics Corporation in 2005. The joint venture is mainly engaged in research and development as well as production and marketing of electronic and communication tests and measurement equipment.
