Having lived in Beijing for almost 10 years, Beihai is my personal favorite place to go to just relax and remind myself how beautiful this city really is. Tour Jade Flower island and The White Pagoda, stop by Nine Dragon Wall, or just relax in one of the Five Dragon Pavilions and listen to the locals sing and play traditional music.
