In my opinion, there are two reasons why girls outperform boys in school. First, girls spend much more time on study than boys. Female students are diligent while their male counterparts prefer to play games than study. They have many kinds of activities such as football, basketball and online games that are interesting to them, which girls are less than enthusiastic about. Second, girls are more mature than boys. They deeply recognize the importance of the college entrance exam to them. Most of them have to accept it as the only choice to realize their life dream. But boys are different. If they can't succeed in going to the college, they will find another way to live.
