First of all, I don't think there is a schedule thing we use in summer holiday as it makes the summer holiday sound like study or work while in fact it should be relaxing. In Australia, the summer holiday for students at university is normally about three months. Generally, people go to the beach a lot for swimming, surfing or getting a tan. Getting a tan is very popular here. Also, they may work part-time and save money for traveling.
