BEIJING - Chinese Xian Dongmei defeated DPR Korean An Kum Ae to win the women's 52kg judo gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Sunday.

DPR Korean An took the silver medal, while the bronze medal was shared by Soraya Haddad of Algeria and Misato Nakamura of Japan.
