Caxirola: new World Cup sound
新世界杯助威神器來襲
Remember the Vuvuzela during the 2010 FIFA World Cup? Fast forward 4 years, Caxirola, another China-made product, has taken its place and became the official musical instrument at FIFA World Cup 2014, Chinese media reported. The rattle has a vivid green or yellow outer covering, which encases a small plastic keg(小桶) with ball bearings inside. When shaken, it emits a rhythmic sound. As soon as it was released last October, millions of rattles(搖響器) had already been manufactured at Chinese Yiwu factories. It's reported that about 90% of Caxirolas in the world are produced in Zhejiang and Guangdong.(See photo)
還記得2010年世界杯期間的"嗚嗚祖拉"嗎？據中國媒體報道，時隔4年，另外一種中國制造的樂器"卡西羅拉"已接棒"嗚嗚祖拉"，成為2014年世界杯的官方助威神器。"卡西羅拉"有艷綠或明黃的外殼，外殼下面包著小的塑料桶，桶內裝有許多滾珠，搖晃時能發出有節奏的聲響。自去年10月推出后，中國義烏的工廠已生產數百萬件"卡西羅拉"。據報道，目前世界上約90%的"卡西羅拉"產自浙江和廣東。(見圖)
