Sino-German Wudang Culture Forum to be held

The "Hubei Culture and Art in the View of Sino-German—2012 Wudang Culture Forum" was held on Wudang Mountain from April 19 to 20. The event was in celebration of both the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, and Wudang Mountain's 600-year-old birthday,

Nine famous culture experts in China attended the forum, including Wolfgang Kubin, world famous German chief sinologist, and several well-known experts and scholars such as Liu Shouping. Local officials and domestic and international media also attended the forums.

Wudang culture is one of the most important parts of traditional Chinese customs and holding the forum boosted Wudang Mountain's tourism industry. All the experts expressed their views on Wudang culture at the forum and visited the Wudang Mountain scenic area after.

The Wudang Culture Forum is not only an important part of the Wudang 600-year-old birthday activities but also a prelude to German Wudang Culture Week in August 2012. This event aims to comprehensive display Wudang culture in Germany.
