Wanlong International Ski Resort opened for business in Datong city, Shanxi province, on Dec 29, following 177 days of construction work.
The 1.7-billion-yuan ($261.29 million) resort, located in Baideng Mountain Forest Park, is 15 kilometers from downtown Datong.
The opening of the ski resort will boost winter tourism in Datong.
