An online patient registration service in Shanxi province has covered 31 major hospitals and nine county-level ones in the area, according to Shanxi Daily.
Registration procedures in hospitals have always been very difficult for Chinese people. This innovation will help to save people's time from and improve the overall hospital environment.
Shanxi Hospital Registration, an online platform for booking consultations, has been operating since January 2016. So far, it has served over 580,000 patients on more than 786,000 occasions. The greatly increased efficiency has encouraged more people to register online.
A provincial medical management conference on Feb 22 reported that the online registration platform will cover all the leading and county-level hospitals in Shanxi this year. Other services on the platform, such as online payment, will be further promoted.
