Pingyao Refined Chinese Lacquer Cultural Park is a cultural industry project financed by Pingyao Coal Chemical Group to realize industrial transformation and development. The estimated total investment is 120 million yuan ($19.5 million). This project, integrating R&D and training, production and marketing, exhibition and collection, and sightseeing, will provide an important guarantee for the inheritance, protection and expansion of Pingyao refined Chinese lacquer arts.
Zhang Pu, secretary of the Jinzhong municipal Party committee, conducted in-depth research in the cultural park on Aug 23.
Zhang and his colleagues paid a visit to understand the construction conditions of the project, production and processing crafts and procedures of refined Chinese lacquer, and problems and difficulties existing in project development.
Zhang Pu spoke highly of Pingyao's attention to the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage and commitment to developing the cultural industry. He stressed that the Party committee and government of Pingyao county should further create a favorable development environment, provide policy support and help for enterprise development, and get closer to enterprises to provide them with good services. Zhang Pu encouraged enterprises to make new contributions to speed up development of the local economy.
