Shanxi province will invest 12 million yuan ($1.93 million) for comprehensive agricultural development in 2013. The money will be used to continuously support specialized farmers cooperatives and companies leading agriculture industrialization, as well as carry out new cooperative demonstration programs.
The 12 million yuan will be granted into 17 projects that, upon completion, will increase the annual production value by 250 million yuan and increase fixed assets by 55.14 million yuan. More than 20,000 farmers will benefit from the projects, realizing annual income of 209 million yuan.
