Jin merchants, also known as Shanxi province merchants, will usher in their first world conference in the Taiyuan Coal Trading Center from August 19 to 20.

The conference will be a platform to display the spirit and cohesive affinity of new Jin merchants as well as provide a window for the outside world to learn more about Shanxi. It will also be an important event to help expand investment and enhance the industrial transformation of Shanxi.

"New Jin Merchants and The Development of Shanxi" is the theme of the conference. The conference aims to create a network to help Jin merchants attract more talent, capital and technology.

The assembly aims to have more than 1,000 merchant elites participate and hopes to yield a billion dollars worth of investment contracts. In conjunction, the conference will also hold 12 events, including themed events and related events.

The thematic events include high-level meetings, the first world conference of Jin merchants and a Summit Forum. The related events include activities such as mobilization meetings, news conferences, and the establishment of an international Jin merchants' council.

The conference will be hosted by the Shanxi Provincial CPC Committee, the National Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. It will be supported by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, the Provincial United Front Work Department and the provincial federation of industry and commerce.
