An international advanced medical technology innovation center will be built in Shanghai's Jiading Industrial Zone, local media reported on Jan 22.
The center is the result of a deal reached on Jan 18 between Jiading Industrial Zone, Germany's Medical Valley, Bosch (Shanghai) Smart Technology Co, China National Pharmaceutical Group, and Beijing Medical Valley Venture Capital Management and Consultancy Co.
The center will consist of an innovation workshop to help small and micro-sized medical startups with R&D, a medical technology transfer platform, a cross-border investment platform for medical projects, an incubator, an accelerator, and a range of other institutions and facilities.
According to the agreement, the center is designed to be a cutting-edge international medical technology transfer and innovation base. Its arrival in Jiading is expected to promote the development of the district's high-end medical technology industry.
