The Qingdao-based electronic giant Hisense launched its latest offering, the 300-inch 8k laser cinema projector on March 8, the opening day of this year's Application & Electronics World Expo in Shanghai.

The laser cinema projector, 6.6 meters wide and 3.7 meters high, is larger than a regular football goal, with 8k resolution, the current highest ultra-high definition television (UHDTV) resolution in digital television and digital cinematography. 8K refers to the horizontal resolution in the order of 8,000 pixels, forming the total image dimensions of (7680×4320).

What's more, the working life of the laser light source of the product is estimated to exceed 20,000 hours.

As the official promotion partner of Universal's Jurassic World 2, Hisense played the movie's trailer at the experience hall of the 300-inch 8k laser cinema projector, offering visitors the extraordinary movie-watching experience of wonder, adventure and thrills in the awe-inspiring and terrifying American science fiction adventure film.
