The 2017 China International Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES) opened in grand style on Sept 22 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Themed "Smart + Benefitting the world", the four-day event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Shandong Provincial Government.

The show has attracted exhibitors from various fields in the consumer electronics industry ranging from global Internet giants, traditional manufacturers and innovative industry platforms for mobile Internet and intelligent hardware to new firms specializing in virtual reality (VR).

At the show, visitors can admire a wide range of latest technologies, ranging from smart homes, intelligent robots, 3-D printing, to VR.

In addition, the organizers will hold a robot design competition, 3-D printing festival, an innovation contest and forums.
