The coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, held a city image promotion activity in Shanghai as its Qingdao China trimaran yacht called at the Huangpu River in Shanghai on Oct 23.

The yacht, which set out from Qingdao on Oct 21, will visit some cities along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road for a series of exchange activities. Shanghai was its first port of call.

The voyage, organized in line with the national Belt and Road Initiative strategy, is aimed at promoting Qingdao's image as a sailing city and its marine economy characteristics, said Zang Aimin, vice-president of the organizing committee for Qingdao's major sailing events.
