In the past three years, Qingdao Qindaotong Company has issued 3.03 million "one-card passes", a card that citizens use to make payments and take buses, cabs and ferries in Qingdao. The one-card will be applied in parking lots and short-distance passenger transport, China Communications News reported.

When the Jiaozhou Bay tunnel was finished, the one-card pass will become the exclusive card to pay tolls on 18 MTC lanes and four ETC lanes. It can be also used in Qingdao Metro Line 2 and Line 3 after their completion.
