Changchun holds International Sourcing Fair

The third International Sourcing Fair was held in the Changchun International Convention Centre on Sept 2. The fair aims to construct a platform to expand the international market.
Zhuang Yan, vice-governor of Jilin province, attended the fair and delivered a speech.
Some 230 foreign buyers from more than 60 countries, including the United States, France and England, joined the fair. Altogether 647 enterprises from Jilin province also attended the fair with approximately 2,000 products from Jilin’s competitive industries, such as equipment manufacturing and chemical engineering.
Compared with the previous sourcing fairs, this year’s fair in Jilin has made great progress in product promotion and enterprise communication. A special e-commerce experience area was established to help enterprises get a better understanding of carrying out online commerce. An exhibition area was also established to display Jilin’s local products and competitive industries.
A product exports and imports conference was also held during the sourcing fair to help fair participants communicate and seek cooperation opportunities. A brochure with information about more than 1,000 enterprises was available at the conference.
Statistics show that the sourcing fair has brought purchases amounting to $514 million. Some 56 foreign buyers signed purchase contracts at the fair site.
