As the main industry in ancient China, Agriculture has developed for thousands of years. It is still a vital industry now and Chinese people master much experience and know much knowledge about agriculture.

Zhangjiagang city built the farming culture garden in order to showcase Chinese agriculture, including history, ideas and different stages of development.

The garden draws more than 120,000 tourists annually, including several hundred foreigners. Visitors can watch races of pigs, dogs and horses.
