Baotou airport marked the launch of a new route on March 26, with a flight from Xi’an to Ulanhot making a stop in the city, reported Baotou Daily.

The new flight is being operated by China Express using a CRJ900 four times a week. The Ulanhot-bound flights will depart Xi’an at 6:15 am, stopping in Baotou at 8:20 am before arriving in Ulanhot at 10:50 am. The return journey departs Ulanhot at 11:10 am, stopping in Baotou at 1:10 pm and landing in Xi’an at 3:20 pm.

According to local media reports, a new Xi’an to Arxan service will also stop in Baotou as part of its schedule, starting March 28.

The airport aims to continue trying to attract airlines to offer routes to cities inside and outside Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

As the Hinggan League administrative center, Ulanhot is famous for the Genghis Khan Temple and Kerchin Grassland, while Xi’an is a beautiful metropolis with a long history and rich culture, attracting millions of tourists every year.
