Inner Mongolia gets new medical cloud platform

Hospital representatives from 168 hospitals in Inner Mongolia gathered in Hohhot on May 25 to witness the launch of the "Internet plus medicare" cloud platform.

Through the platform, patients in the autonomous region can enjoy services such as online communication, telephone consultation, appointments, test results and make online payments for any of the 168 hospitals, while doctors can deal with referrals and consultations, electronic receipts and make prescriptions. The platform can be accessed through a computer, cellphone or tablet.

The close cooperation between medical institutions greatly facilitates medical treatment and supports primary health care facilities, explained Sun Dejun, dean of the People’s Hospital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
