When the 12th National Pursuit of Excellence Conference was held in Beijing, recently, the Handan Iron & Steel Group Co Ltd was recognized for its “National Quality”.
There were six units getting the award this year and Handan-Steel was the only company in the steel industry to be given the award.
The “National Quality” award is China’s highest award for industrial excellence, a sort of crown jewel or Chinese Oscar in the area of quality. It is one of four major global quality awards, with the greatest credibility and similar to Europe’s Quality Award (EQA), the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award(MBNQA), and Japan’s Demin Award.
