The Anlong National Mountain and Outdoor Sports Park in Anlong county, Guizhou province has become a magnet for outdoor sports fans and tourists from across China.
Opened in September last year, the 270-million-yuan ($39 million) project is the first state-level park of its kind, and offers a wide range of exciting outdoor activities including helicopter rides, power gliding flights, rock climbing and mountain biking, with more to be added over the next few years.
Tucked away in the mountainous Shanlong Bay area and highlighted with compelling karst land formations, local authorities hope the 10,100-hectare outdoor sports park can play an instrumental role in Anlong’s poverty alleviation efforts by boosting tourism revenue.
