A delegation from the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area, Zhejiang province, lead by Zhou Jiangyong, its deputy Party secretary, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, June 8 and 9, to get a look at an integrated underground pipe ditch and Huandao (Island Ring) Rd.

Afterwards, they got a ride on the Haixia, a high-speed cross-Straits passenger ferry that connects Pingtan, Fujian province with Taichung, Taiwan.

The purpose of the visit was to gain some experience from Pingtan, which could be applied to Zhoushan's development, according to Zhou. He said they will try to cooperate further with Pingtan for the common good.
