An inspection team headed by Chen Qingwen, director of the Fujian Local Taxation Bureau, visited Pingtan, Fujian province, to conduct an investigation on its tax performance on May 27.

Chen expressed satisfaction with Pingtan's taxation performance and urged the island county to enhance momentum to boost economic development.

The provincial government will also continue to outline preferential policies to boost the development of sectors such as the shipping and tunnel-building industries, said Chen.
